ilustres días

El pasado mes de Septiembre tuve la suerte de participar en la muestra colectiva con la que reabría el espacio Zink, una de las salas de exposiciones más interesantes de la ciudad.

El título de la muestra era "Ilustres días" y reunía dibujos de tema cotidiano de jóvenes artistas.
Mi obra se titula "¡Mírate flores!" y eran una serie de espejos de distintos tipos de los que brotaban toda clase de flores y plantas.

On September, I participated in a collective show in the space called Zink, one of the most interesting spaces of the city.

The exhibition was called "Distinguished days" and a lot of illustrators showed their daily drawings there. My work was "Look at you, flowers!" and it was a serie of drawings of mirrors with flowers on it.

It was a pleasure!

El pasado mes de Julio estuve en el Ilustratour.
Me apunté al taller que impartía la ilustradora Ellen Weinstein.
Duró cuatro días en Matadero Madrid y fue muy motivador.

El título del curso era "Using your voice. Usando tu voz" y los objetivos eran básicamente ayudarte a desarrollar la idea desde el borrador hasta el arte final y combinar distintas técnicas para desarrollar un estilo propio.

Cada uno hicimos cuatro pósters de cuatro festivales ficticios:
·Spring Dance Festival·
·Summer Music Festival·
·Fall Literature Festival·
·Winter Cinema Festival·

Los míos son los del fondo en colores planos y allí se quedaron expuestos durante unos días :)

I was in the Ilustratour on July.
I signed up on the workshop of the illustrator Ellen Weinstein.
It was four days in Matadero (Madrid) and was very motivating.

The workshop called "Using your voice" and the objectives were to help you to develop your idea, from the sketch to the final art, combining different technics to develop your own style.

We had to design four posters for four fictitious festivals:
·Spring Dance Festival·
·Summer Music Festival·
·Fall Literature Festival·
·Winter Cinema Festival·

When the workshop finished, all the posters were showed in a collective exhibition there, in Matadero.

festival de cine corto

Durante los jueves de este mes y mitad del siguiente tendrá lugar la séptima edición del Festival de Cine Corto de Salamanca.

Es un placer haber diseñado la imagen gráfica de este evento al que llevo acudiendo ya tres años.

Este año las proyecciones se realizan al aire libre, recuperando el mítico cine de verano, así que no hay excusa para no venir.

Every Thursday of this month and a half of the next month, it will celebrate the 7th edition of the Short Film Festival of Salamanca.
It has been a pleasure to have designed the graphical image.

This year the projections will be outside, remembering the old summer cinema.

Primer premio para el microrrelato "Corazón de segunda mano"

¡Qué contenta!

He recibido el primer premio del concurso de ilustración de microrrelatos de la Universidad de Salamanca. Además de eso, han sido seleccionadas otras dos ilustraciones mías para ilustrar otros dos microrrelatos.

Estarán como exposición itinerante por todas las facultades de la ciudad y por el Corte Inglés. También pueden encontrarse impresas (con el microrrelato por detrás) en diferentes espacios culturales.

I'm so happy!

I've been awarded the first prize in the Illustration for Short Stories contest of the University of Salamanca. In addition, other two illustrations have been selected in other two short stories.

It will be like a itinerant exhibition for all the faculties of the city and in Corte Ingles.
It can also be found like postcards in different cultural spaces.

las puertas de París

¿Qué tendrá París que todo el mundo se imagina una vida feliz allí?
¿Qué tendrán sus calles, sus tiendas y sus brasseries?

¿Y qué tendrán sus puertas?
De madera, de colores, enormes. Al igual que los ventanales y los edificios.
Seguro que dentro hay viviendas de techos altos, decoración bonita y ambiente acogedor.

Sólo lo sabremos si algún día vivimos en París.

(sus puertas, otra cosa que no he podido evitar dibujar desde el viaje que hicimos el pasado Diciembre...)

What has Paris that everybody imagine a happy life there?
What have their streets, little shops and brasseries?

And what have their doors?
Wooden, elegant colours, huge. Like the windows and buildings.
I'm sure that inside there are homes of high roofs, pretty deco and welcoming ambient.

We only know if someday we live in Paris.

(I couldn't have avoided draw the doors since we travelled there the last December...)

Amazing, wonderful and inspirational as nothing else.
All these adjectives represent the new collection Fall/Winter 2015 of Delpozo, and I couldn't have avoided to draw one of the dresses.
