favoritos abril

Se acaba el mes de abril y llegan mis favoritos:

1. Artilugio Estudio: nuevo espacio que mezcla coworking, exposiciones, talleres y cursos que dará vida a la cultura en la ciudad. Estad atentos!

2. Planificador Maria Wölle: este mes me ha llegado el planificador (y otras cositas) diseñado por Maria y me encanta! Es súper útil y original con todos los dibujines alrededor. Podéis echarle un vistazo a su tienda, su web/blog o seguirla en instagram para no perderos nada.

3. Taller de encuadernación copta en Atentamente: dan ganas de apuntarse a todos los talleres que se imparten allí, pero sin duda mis favoritos (y los que intento no perderme) son los de encuadernación. Este mes hicimos un cuadernito con cosido copto forrado con los papeles italianos preciosos que venden allí.

4. Skillshare: llevo siguiendo varios meses esta plataforma, pero aún no la había incluido en ninguno de mis favoritos. Es una web en la que hay cursos de todo tipo, sobre todo relacionados con la creatividad, el diseño, el diy...algunos gratuitos, otros de pago, todos en inglés. También, si te animas, puedes probar a grabar un curso y compartirlo. Echadle un vistazo!

5. Rodaje de "Still Star Crossed": estos días se está rodando una serie internacional sobre Romeo y Julieta en mi ciudad, y me han cogido de figurante! La verdad es que está siendo una experiencia única que, como no nos dejan hacer fotos, la dibujaré!

6. ¿Cómo se pueden crear cosas tan bonitas como esta? Me ha encantado esta animación!

7. Canción "Enamorada" de Pedrina y Rio: desde que vi la peli de "Kiki, el amor se hace" (que tampoco está mal) no he dejado de escuchar esta canción, pegadiza y que dan ganas de bailarla!

April is over so here there are my favorites:

1. Artilugio studio: it is a new place which mixes coworking, art exhibitions and workshops, and it will invest more culture to the city. Pay attention to its activities!

2. Maria Wölle's planner: this month I have received the planner (and other stuffs) designed by Maria and I love it! It's very useful and original with all the little drawings around it. You can see all her products on her shop, read her web/blog or follow her on instagram. 

3. Bookbinding workshop (coptic stitch) in Atentamente: I like all the workshops from Atentamente but my favorites are the bookbinding ones. This month we made a coptic stitch notebook covered with a beautiful italian paper.

4. Skillshare: I follow this web since few months ago. It is a web where there are all kind of courses: design, illustration, diy, photography... some of them are free and all are in English. Also, if you have something to teach, you can become a teacher. Take a look!

5. "Still Star Crossed" filming: these days an american producer is filming a tv serie about Romeo and Juliet in my city and I am an extra! It's being a unique experience and, as I can't take photos, I will draw it! 

6. How can someone create things so beautiful like this? I just love this animation!

7. "Enamorada" ("In love") song by Pedrina y Rio: since I saw "Kiki, el amor se hace" the film, I have listened to this song a lot of times!

ilustraciones para microrrelatos II

Un año más me presenté al concurso "Universos Mínimos", que consiste en ilustrar uno de los microrrelatos ganadores de una fase previa en dicho concurso.

Es uno de mis certámenes favoritos pues los microrrelatos son textos muy cortos que dan mucho juego a la hora de imaginarse algo más allá del significado escrito e interpretarlo mediante un dibujo.

Merece la pena leer el texto que ilustré, que encima fue el 1º premio!

One year again, I decided to participate in the contest "Minimum Universes". It consists in illustrating one of the ten winner short stories in a previous stage.

It's one of my favorite contest because the short stories are very interesting to read, and imagine something beyond the text and illustrate it.

The short story illustrated by me won the first prize and it's amazing!

La idea de hacer postales de los escaparates para que no fueran tan efímeros se nos ocurrió a las dos a la vez. Así que aquí está la primera "postal de temporada", esas que van del cristal al papel.

Podéis encontrarlas en Atentamente. Son edición limitada, realizadas en serigrafía y estampación de sellos.

María from Atentamente and I had the same idea: to make postcards based on the illustrations that I paint on the window. So here are the first!

We have called them "Season postcards: from the window to the paper".
You can find them in the library and they're limited edition, screenprinted and stamped.

They're to have a "petalosa" spring :)

favoritos marzo

Aquí van mis favoritos de este mes (el mes de mi cumple!):

1. Quique González: siempre es buen momento para escuchar sus canciones así que su nuevo disco se ha pasado todo el mes sonando en mi reproductor.

2. Room (La habitación): una peli distinta que no deja indiferente. Merece la pena verla por varias razones, entre ellas por ver actuar al niño (Jacob Tremblay), es genial!

3. Top coat + truco de agua fría: nunca había probado ningún top coat para que el esmalte de uñas me durara más, pero es verdad que funcionan! Además, he probado un truco para que se sequen más rápido cuando te las pintas: meterlas debajo del grifo de agua fría...también funciona!

4. Casitas de Portugal: este mes nos hemos escapado unos días a Portugal y cada vez que voy me gusta más. Sus casitas llenas de azulejos me inspiran mucho y me dan ganas de dibujarlas todas!

5. Mi nueva mochila! También ha sido un descubrimiento llevármela de viaje, poder llenarla de cosas y no tener que ir con un bolso incómodo.

6.  Soppy - Philippa Rice: un cómic sin texto y en tres colores que muestra el día a día de una pareja. Con dibujos sencillos pero efectivos nos muestra qué es el amor, el cariño y la convivencia entre dos personas que se quieren. Precioso!

7. Rotuladores DJECO: acostumbramos a comprar materiales de arte en tiendas especializadas, pero a veces podemos mirar en otro tipo de tiendas y descubrir productos que están muy bien y son diferentes! Esta marca la venden en una juguetería de mi ciudad (Títere, para los de Salamanca) y éstos son rotuladores con doble punta (pincel + punta fina) de colores especiales.

Here are my March favorites (my birthday's month!):

1. Quique González: It's always a good moment to listen to his songs so his new album has been sounding in my CD player the whole month.

2. Room: a different film which will surprise you. You have to watch it for few reasons, among them to watch the kid (Jacob Tremblay)...he's an amazing actor!

3. Top coat + cold water tip: I have never tried any top coat for the nail polish but it works! I have also tried a tip to make dry faster when I paint my nails: put them under cold water...it also works!

4. Portugal houses: we have been a few days in Portugal and I love it more each time I go!
Its houses covered by beautiful tiles inspire me a lot and I want to draw all!

5. My new backpack! It has been a discovery to take it to travel and not to use an uncomfortable bag.

6. Soppy - Philippa Rice: a mute comic in three colors which shows the every day of a couple. With simple drawings but effective, the author shows us what is love and living together. Beautiful!

7. DJECO markers: we use to buy art supplies on art stores, but sometimes we can take a look in other kind of stores and discover capable and different products. This brand is sold in a toy store of my city (Títere) and these have double point (like a brush + fine point) and special colors.
